For Beginners
I've never held a shotgun — can I really do this?
Yes, and you'll love it. The vast majority of our guests are first-timers. You'll get a full safety briefing, one-on-one coaching from our Master at Arms, and you'll be breaking clays inside the first 20 minutes. No experience needed.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself and a sense of adventure. We provide premium Italian shotguns, ammunition, ear protection, and eye protection. Everything you need is included.
How long is a typical session?
Intro sessions run 90 minutes to 2 hours — enough time for a proper briefing, plenty of shots, and coaching between rounds. Group events are tailored to your schedule.
Safety
Is clay target shooting actually safe?
Extremely — when run properly. Every session is personally supervised by Frik, a qualified Master at Arms, with strict range protocols. We've safely hosted thousands of shooters including complete beginners, families, and corporate groups.
What safety gear do you provide?
Quality ear protection, shooting glasses, and proper firearm handling instruction before any guest touches a shotgun. Safety isn't an add-on — it's how we run every minute of every session.
Are there age restrictions?
Shooters must be 13 or older. Under 18s require parental consent and supervision. We're well set up for family days and youth coaching.
What to Wear
What should I wear?
Comfortable outdoor clothing you don't mind getting a little dusty, and closed-toe shoes (sneakers, boots, or trail shoes). Avoid loose scarves or anything dangling. Layers are smart — early mornings can be cool, midday is warm.
What about sun and weather?
Bring a cap or hat and sunscreen — we're outdoors in the Highveld sun. We shoot in light rain but reschedule for storms. We'll always be in touch ahead of time if weather changes the plan.
Can I bring my own gear?
Members and experienced shooters are welcome to bring their own shotgun and ammunition (subject to compliance checks). For first-timers, our Italian shotguns are part of what makes the experience world-class.
How Membership Works
How does membership actually work?
Members get regular structured range access at significantly better pricing than one-off bookings, plus priority booking, member-only events and competitions, ongoing coaching, and guest privileges. It's a real club, not a punch card.
Which tier is right for me?
Individual is for solo shooters. Family covers up to 4 immediate family members. Corporate is built for companies wanting client entertainment and team slots. Junior (13–18) is discounted with a youth coaching focus.
What's the application process?
Submit a short enquiry, have a quick chat with Frik, complete onboarding paperwork and orientation, then start shooting. Most members are on the range within two weeks of enquiring.

Do I need experience?

What does membership cost?
R1,200 once-off joining fee plus R1,200 annual membership (pro-rata if you join later in the year). Members pay R175 per range session vs R200 for non-members. Full pricing at /membership#pricing.

How much is gun hire?
R200 for a 2-hour session — premium Italian shotguns included.
What does ammunition cost?
R220 for a box of 25 rounds (subject to change with market conditions).
Do you offer private coaching?
Yes — 1-on-1 coaching is R1,000 and includes 100 targets. Ideal for serious skill development.
Do you offer group packages?
Yes — all-inclusive group packages: R6,000 for 100 shots (max 10 people) or R10,000 for 200 shots (max 20 people). Both include guns, ammo, coaching, and range fees. See /membership#pricing.
Group Bookings
How many people can attend?
From small groups of 4 to corporate events of 100+. We scale to your needs — see /corporate-events for packages.
